The process for creating a regular sized gown and a petite sized gown is the same. The difference comes in the amount of fabric used and the gown pattern. A regular size gown uses 2.5 yards of easy care fabric. A petite size gown uses 2 yards. Click here for the different sizes of gown patterns (free) to print out and tape together.

The creation process for a plus sized gown is roughly 80% the same as the regular sized gown. In this video we show both the differences and the similarities. Plus size gowns require 3 yards long and 50in wide material. This rules out most fabric you’d get at a store, so we suggest using a fun and colorful twin bed sheet.
